As part of our commitment to provide development opportunities for students keen to acquire real-world experience in the investment sector, UCIM runs a summer internship programme. Now in its fourth year, the programme has quickly become an established fixture in our annual calendar and a hugely positive experience for our team, as well as the interns.
The programme has been developed to focus on the areas that the organisation and our team feel strongly about – diversity, sustainability and our connection with the University.
We offer four internships – two for applicants from the University of Cambridge to work specifically on sustainable investment initiatives, one through our partnership with 10,000 Black Interns and one through our close relationship with the charity GAIN (Girls are INvestors).
Following a selection process, interns spend 6 weeks working on specific projects with our investment team, gaining valuable knowledge and exposure, attending meetings with external partners and presenting their work to the team at the conclusion of the programme.
All interns are paid for the duration of the programme.
